The 2010 Umpire clinic will be held on April 24th at the Gerry Masterson Community Center in Thurlow Ward, Belleville.

The clinic will start at 9:00 am and be completed by 4:00 pm. You must attend for the entire day, and pass your exam to gain a card for the 2010 season. (No Exceptions) Sign in will begin at 8:30 am.

Pre registration is encouraged as the class size will be limited due to the size of the hall. Please bring shoes to go outdoors (weather permitting) lunch & drinks will be provided.

Online Registration Available  To be eligible for early bird rates, those submitting online registrations must mail payment to Quinte Baseball Umpires within 10 business days of the online registration. Failure to do so will result in your name being removed from the list. No Exceptions

OBA requirements to achieve Level 1.                                                                                 

     No experience needed.                                                                                        

     Attend clinic yearly.                                                                                            

     Obtain minimum of 60% on exam.                                                                

          This will allow you to Umpire Provincial Level Baseball up to & including Pee Wee     

OBA requirements to achieve Level 2.        

          Have your level 1 for a minimum of 2 years.

          Attend clinic yearly.

     Obtain minimum of 76% on exam. 

          This will allow you to Umpire Provincial Level Baseball up to & including Midget

How do I register?

    Complete online registration form and mail  fees to Quinte Baseball Umpires. Fees must be mailed within 10 business days of registration to save a seat. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your seat.

     No phone or Email registrations accepted.

     Walk-in the day of the clinic will be accepted. (Subject to Availability)

What if I don't register by April 1st?

     After April 1st  you can still register at the increased rate.

     Walk-in the day of the clinic will be accepted. (Subject to Availability)

What if I need to cancel or change dates after I have already registered? 

    There will be no penalty for cancellations up to 2 weeks prior to the selected clinic.  Within 2 weeks, changes are subject to a $25.00 processing fee. 

What if I need to leave early? 

     Due to the nature of the training, and the requirement to write an exam at the end of the day, umpires are expected to attend the full day.  If you are not able to stay for the full day, please select an alternative clinic date.

 What do I need to bring with me? 

     Bring your mask, umpire hat, ball gloves, and running shoes. 

     Pens or Pencils

     Lunch

 Will there be an exam? 

    Yes.  You must receive a minimum of 60% for Level 1 or 76% for Level 2 on the exam to receive your certification.  Much of the exam will focus on material covered in the clinic; however other general rules knowledge questions will also be included. You are advised to study and prepare in advance.

 Registration Fees:  

   Level 1

    Up to March 31st, $30

    After March 31st up to the date of your clinic, $55

  Level 2

    Up to March 31st, $50

    After March 31st  up to the date of your clinic, $75
